Friday Five

Hooray! I've been counting "sleeps" until the weekend since Tuesday. So happy it's here. It's been a while since I've been back on the blogside, so I'd thought I'd join in on one of my favorite linkups

ONE:
Holidays. It's now acceptable for me to pull out all our halloween outfits. Starting today. Which just so happens to be pajama day at school. So excited to take a trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend, wear our cute clothes from Coco Callies and end the week with our school's Trunk or Treat.

TWO:
Table Centerpieces. I need to blog about our house, but we have a huge farmhouse table that has been bare for a few months. I needed to "girl-up" this big piece. I saw this cute DIY the other day, but happened upon Michaels which carries some of the supplies.
Inspiration picture:

Because the boxes are smaller, I ended up getting 2. Now I'm kinda thinking I need three to fully center them on the table.

THREE:
Also home decor - I'm loving these big framed images and on the hunt for one with Tim McGraw's Humble and Kind lyrics on it. I'm really thinking it would be the perfect addition to our playroom.

FOUR:
Gators by week. As much as I love Fall, football and all the fun that comes with it, I'm super thankful for a little by week to GSD. We've been putting off running errands, looking for furniture pieces, etc since we've been consumed with Football. Excited for a little break. But when it comes back, I can't wait for Caroline's new outfit to get here. Look how cuteeeeeee:

FIVE:
Blogging. I'm so excited to get back into a routine. Hopefully it sticks. Anyone have any tips for me on how you plan out posts? For now I'm just excited to be joining the Friday Five linkup and the Friday favorites linkup

#TiffanyandCo | Bridal and Bachelorette Party

My long-time friend is set to get married in October and being her Matron of Honor, I couldn't wait to start Celebrating. Being her name is Tiffany, I've had the themes in my head for a long time now :)
Bridal Shower:
Brunch at Tiffany's
We set up a cute little brunch themed shower for one Saturday afternoon. We encouraged the guests to wear black and they did not disappoint. We had a mimosa bar, dessert bar, diamond donuts and so much fun.

Bachelorette Party:
Continuing with the theme - we went with "Tiffany and Co." Her closest girls travelled with her to Austin.  We rented out the cutest Airbnb, and scheduled a weekend of fun. I honestly don't know the last time I've laughed that hard.
My favorite memory from the trip was when we were getting ready to go out - we asked our cab driver to take a photo and as we were getting in formation, Tiffany (the bride to be) slipped and landed her foot right on a cactus. Thank goodness she had two nice friends who didn't immediately die of laughter (hint: one was not me) and was able to get the cactus out of her foot.

We bar-hopped on the first day and landed at the cutest outdoor spot. Complete with market lights:

First night out:

Tiffany and Co Shirts:

And the last night:
We were supposed to go river tubing, but unfortunately got rained out :( Next time, Austin, next time.

Caroline is HERE

I really let go of the blogging reigns a while back, but I wanted to take time after Caroline was here and put my pregnancy and delivery into words (Moreso for me, but hey...you're here too!)

I'm now a firm believer that girls are high-maintenance from the start. And as a "girly girl" I can say that. Caroline fit the mold. Her pregnancy was completely different than Wyatt's, she just wanted to make sure I was ready for her. I was sick pretty much the first 14 weeks, had incredibly bad bone pain and developed gestational diabetes with her. Because of that, I checked into my office 2 days a week for a little NST. All of them seemed normal, so we were able to schedule a repeat c-section for March 23rd.
The day before, the doctor talked to me about gestational diabetes affects on the baby. And that there was going to be a NICU team in the room in case her sugars were bad. I basically stopped listening from there and went into anxiety mode. Meanwhile, I swung Wyatt by the doctor since he was starting to get sick. He had a lovely green hue streaming from his nose and I knew that something was about to get icky. The doctor ensured me it was allergies and he was fine.
The night before Caroline's schedule C-section, I was a basket case. Wyatt started coughing, I was fearing the NICU team was going to be needed and I couldn't contain the fear of having two babies. Basket CASE.  We had to be at the hospital at 9am, so I woke with Wyatt and all he wanted to do was be held. I knew then, it wasn't just allergies..it was sickness. Sure enough, he was running a fever.  He didn't want me to leave his side.
Jason came to the living room "Time to go" -- Wyatt refused to let me go. Which of course made me burst into tears. The whole way to the hospital I was just crying. Everything hitting me at once.
The nurses and doctors at Winnie Palmer were AMAZING. The caught on right away that I was a little emotional and were so helpful. Soon enough I was laughing and being assured that both my babies were just fine.
At 10:46, our hearts grew a whole lot bigger when Caroline made her entrance

And then once her brother got a little bit better, he was able to come meet her:

Nursery Inspiration!

Coming up with Caroline's nursery wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. My sweet mother in law offered to paint Caroline's room just like she did Wyatt's, so we started quickly turning the man cave into the princess room.
Paint:
Turns out, I like the color grey -- a lot. And since we used grey in Wyatt's room (and had 4.5 gallons left) let's just reuse it, right? right? WRONG. It turned out baby blue somehow in Caroline's room. Trim and one wall done we halted painting, ran to Home Depot and picked up the

With a gallon of Behr's Classic Silver, we went back to the house and repainted. Added a White Crib and Dresser...and one big ol' Monogram.

Of course the monogram photo is pretty dark.

And, because I truly don't believe a girl's room can be complete without a bow holder - I made this little thing.
The wood base was from Hobby Lobby, I sanded and painted it white. Picked out a coordinating ribbon and attached to the back, then I made a design on my Silhouette from a little saying my good friend says all the time. I'm in LOVE.

DISNEY!

Luckily for Wyatt, Papa moved back to Orlando and his boss is Mickey. Therefore Wyatt was spoiled with a little visit to Magic Kingdom to celebrate turning 1.
(ignore the shoes - he was just learning how to walk)

Jason and I haven't been to disney in years, so we planned to try and take it slow.  I've clearly never been with a child of my own, so I had no clue what to expect. Thankfully we're able to go pretty easily being Floridians so we didn't have to pack everything into one day. Our goal was three rides and to see Mickey.

We made it through the 3 rides, grabbed lunch, stumbled upon a parade and somehow Wyatt fell into a nap. Jason and I dodge the heat for AC and waited near the Mickey line for him to wake.

Wyatt was still a little groggy waking up, but he sure didn't miss his opportunity to give his pal Mickey a little high five.

Caroline enjoyed her first visit too ;), but I'm sure she'll enjoy her next one even more.

It's a GIRL

Words cannot express how FUN it was to hear those three little words. <3
Back in March, for my birthday, Jason purchased a Groupon for a home cleaning service. After numerous (EIGHT) attempts to use it, I gave up. And those Groupon bucks just sat in my account.
Well right around Labor Day I received an email from Groupon about their sales. And at the top of that email? 3D Gender sneak peek for 15 weeks...um, YES! I quickly used my Groupon bucks and scheduled my appointment.
We went down that day anxious (and me, with a full bladder - you have to basically drink an ocean to see a baby..or something like that!). Jason and I decided to find out together, in that room. We were heading out of town the following weekend, so we just decided to have family over for BBQ the day after! :)
As we sat in the room SO many thoughts went through my head. Jason was convinced it was a boy..and I was hanging on home it was a girl. The tech? Didn't say a peep. She saw us joke with eachother, overheard our comments (and our bet) and had no emotion on her face. None. Actually, pretty positive she was a robot at this point.
But about 20 minutes later she showed us what she was looking at - and right then and there, I KNEW it was a girl. Happy Tears, clapping, arm pumping all of that happened (from me!), while Jason sat there figuring out how he's going to afford to spoil 2 ladies in his life.
Like I mentioned the next day some of our family members and close friends came over for a quick dinner and surprise. I purchased cute little poppers from Etsy and Jason and I practiced on the blue ones to make sure we could do them right :) Thank goodness, because it was perfect:
Our family was beginning to be complete:
