Fantastic Friday!

Hey girl haaaaay.
I'm talking to you, Friday! So glad you came to the party.
Can't wait to get this day over and really enjoy hanging out with you.

Dear you pretty ladies, you're sweet SWEET comments on our wedding video melted my heart. Thank you so much, they mean the world to me. And you know what, you mean the world to me. Thank you for the love!
Dear GIF Tumbler websites, I don't really even know if that is the what you're called. Here's the thing. I love you. I pass so much time checking up on you. Please don't ever break my heart. My all time fave is #myfriendsaremarried. Check it out.
Dear Football season. you are wearing thin on me and my organs. Specifically that little liver that I have working inside of me. I'm tailgating this week, and then I swear you and I need to take it easy for a bit. Okay? I'll be seeing you ladies tomorrow morning :)
And you, too Whitney. holllla
Dear Best Buy, BOO to you! Still no word on my iPhone.
Dear Jason, I'm super sad you won't be tailgating with us. Your undying love for the Gators comes before your love for day-drinking. I really don't understand, but then again you probably don't understand my undying love for RHONJ.
Hope you ladies have a great weekend! Don't forget to link up with us!

The mystical perfect nude shoe!

'ello, there!
I have a problem and I may need your help.
I've been on the hunt for the most perfect (decently priced) nude pump.
I have two pairs.
Ignore the duck face, k?
I love both of these pairs.
Peeptoe pumps are my jam. However, I've come to realize that suede shoes, are not.
While the shoes both look seemingly clean in those photos, I can 100% assure you that they look grey-ish now because of all the mud I apparently truck through on my nights out.
how?
I don't know.
I blame it on the alcohol.
I've been putting this shopping trip on hold because of how picky I am with nude shoes.
The color is impossible to perfect.
I swear they are either too dark, too blushy or too light.
I guess you should just call me Goldie Locks from now on, because I'm on the mission to find those pretty little pumps that are "just right"
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 /
I'm leaning towards number 1, but what do y'all think?

Friday Letters

We made it to another weekend.
Holla.
Dear Elevator etiquette,  can you please explain this awkward situation to moi? Do I get in the elevator and blurt out my floor number "4, please!" Do I wait for the other person to ask? Or, do I push my way to those buttons and press it myself. Why is this exchange always so awkward? Also, do I say something to the person getting off the elevator "Have a good day" or do I stand pretending I'm reading something fascinating on my iPhone. help!!!
Dear Best Buy, I've been stalking my emails for dayzzz. Whats the deal, yo?You're supposed to email me when my phone comes in, but we all know I'm too impatient for that. I need a date and time of when it will be in, so I can obviously count down to that date...or make one of the paper countdown thingys.
Dear Travel gods, I would like a vacation pretty please! No one would get upset if you suddenly lowered the fare from Orlando to San Fran, say March-ish? Nope, no one would! Katie recently blogged about her Napa trip and My bestie lives out there and most of all it's my birthday. See how those stars align? Let's do this!
Dear Weekend, I really like to give you a shout out every week just so you can see how much you mean to me. This weekend we've got plans for an office Octoberfest (aka Das Loco). Guess I'll need to break out my Beer maid costume from Halloween a few years back.
You know what, I think I'm going to just leave you lucky ladies with that! Happy Friday!

The Journey of my Life!

Today is a hard day for me,
it's the day the greatest man I've ever known passed away.
RIP papa.
I happened to be listening to my favorite station on Spotify, Pistol Annie's. When a song came on talking about the things his Grandpa taught him. Tears started streaming down my face.
It made me think about my own personal journey, and how much I've changed.
It certainly hasn't always been an easy one. My seemingly perfect childhood came crashing down with my parent's divorce in highschool. I've gone through bad friends, worse boyfriends and strained family relationships.
All of these live lessons just taught me how to keep moving on.
After attempting college, I felt like I was a tad trapped. I remember telling my mom I wanted to take a break from school. Her response "If you take a break, you need a career not a job". That I did.
I landed a 'dream job' (aka career) that let me discover who I really was. It allowed me to travel,  became more independent, and I saw how much I could handle. After three years, I knew it was a now-or-never school opportunity.
I wanted to have a degree by the time I was 25.
I quit my job, headed home and dived full speed into school. I started hanging out with my old highschool friends that still lived in the area. Which led me to reconnect with Jason, and well, you all know how that story ended.
Things definitely aren't easy by any means. I catch my self (almost daily) dwelling in the 'have nots' instead of rejoicing in what I have. The only difference between my life now, and my life in my early 20's is that I have someone to share this journey with.
It may not be easy, it most certainly isn't perfect, but it's ours.
While I have a heavy heart today for my own reasons, my thoughts and prayers are with one of my dearest friends who lost her Papa a few days ago. Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss, your strength during this is inspiring.
I saw this quote somewhere and thought It'd be perfect. (wink, wink)
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
also, for the record, the first week of October sucks.

That ish Cray

And believe me and you, I did NOT order Fish Filet.
Trust.
But I did see Vintage Apple's Fabulous link-up going around the blog o'sphere and I knew this would be a fun one to link up...mostly because I'm a leeeeetle bit crazay.
You guys know what they say about that, right?
"She get it from her mommma"
(typical family shot face)
I guess to start this off, I should let y'all know a little secret.
I'm as Paranoid as they come, and I'm pretty sure this makes me crazy.
Every SVU, Criminal Minds or Dateline story - yup, I truly believe that all of that will happen to me. And I plot my ways out of them. Case in point:  when I'm home alone at night, I leave the keys and my dogs leash on my nightstand. You know, just incase Bailey and I need to jump out a window if our home is invaded. This is crazy enough, I'm not even going to touch on my other outlandish paranoid freakouts.

Does it make me crazy if I'm a 27 year old who eats like a 5 year old? Bagel bites are my jam. Oh, and Gusher. Love those. My palette is by no means 'refined'

I watch Reality shows like whoa, but it didn't start with Real Housewives. Nope, I have an 'addiction' to Real World. I've been watching it for years (think like New York, Chicago, Seattle) and I'm still obsessed. Even though I'm like 5 years older than everyone on the current season. Does that make me cray?

Speaking of being a little stuck in the past, I'm still highly obsessed with the 90's. Boybands and TGIF still make a very happy girl. But that can't posssssibly make me crazy!

I have a few more "crazy" little quirks
like..
I genuinely have conversations with Bailey
I don't let my food touch.
I don't finish the end of the sandwich. ever.
When I go online shopping, I put everything in my cart and then just X out of the page.
Ever since watching Urban Legends, I have to check the backseat of my car at night
(I guess that goes back up to my first point)

And that's about it. Come share your Crazy with us!

Oh, I Tailgated alright

I've had a busy monday, so I'm getting to my weekend update a tad later than usual.
Atleast its not a Tuesday/Weekend update.
Rigggggght?
This past weekend only had one thing on the calendar...and that was to tailgate my booty off.
I did just that. The game was at Noon, and UCF has to most obnoxious tailgating rules in which you have to be cleaned up and done tailgating at game time. Obnoxious, I tell ya!
A noon departure means an earrrrrrly arrival, my friends. We started tailgating at 8:00 and we're well into our 10th flip cup game by 9am.
and second bottle of Champs by 10..
The rest of my weekend was spent with movies, delicious foods and a lot of naps.
Perfect combination for an awesome weekend, if I do say so myself. The majority of the movies were redbox, but we did venture out on Sunday to see "End of Watch"
It was amazing. I laughed, cried, and had every emotion in between.
That, of course, meant that I had to fill those emotions with some sort of sweets. And that I did.
We picked up 4 minis - Carrot, Banana, Red Velvet and Tiramisu.
Yummm.
How was your weekend, ladies? Link up with us!
