Howdy Pawtner

There's a new Sheriff in town.. ya heard?

Isn't he cute?!? Yesterday's post inspired me to get him a costume, so I made a quick run to Target to pick him up that little diddy. He hates it. I love it. That's really all that matters.

Tonight will involve Wine (lots of it) + Pumpkin Carving. Yesss!

Ode to the Weekend

I'm currently laid up at home today because I woke up with a nasty, horrible, pounding migraine. What a miserable day to start a Monday. What's even worse is that my lovely neighboor decided to do his yard work today, right by my bedroom window. Ouch.... Thanks, Guy! My head has finally stopped pounding so much and I'm able to turn on the TV and Computer.

This weekend was a busy one, but it was so much fun. Saturday I ran around town all day in preparation for our engagement pictures on Sunday. I had a blonde appointment then I went and got a little spray tan. Afterwards, I met up with a few of my gorgeous bridesmaids to get an idea of Bridesmaid dresses. It was a surprisingly quick appointment, because we narrowed it down pretty quickly. We weren't allowed to take pictures, but that didn't stop us from snapping pictures in the dressing room

These pictures do not do the dresses justice! They are about 10 sizes too big for my MOH, and the not-so-nice sales associate wasn't helping us with clips.  I'm in LOVE with the coral dress. We're going to check out one more spot on Wednesday before deciding on the dress!

After dress shopping, my MOH and her beau double dated with Jason and I at Arabian Nights. Being a born and bred Central Floridian, there are still a bunch of attractions that I haven't been to. This was one of them. Tiffany was able to get discounted tickets through her work, so it was a perfect opportunity to enjoy this dinner show (and the unlimited booze)

The show was about a princess finding her prince (very disney-ish), My favorite parts of course was the unicorn, the USA "dance" and the horses free playing at the end. Can ya'll see the white horse rolling around in the back? So cute!

On Sunday, we had our engagement pictures. AH! I cannot thank you guys enough for all of your kind words. I took your advice and contacted my photographer before the shoot about the styles. I think we achieved exactly what I was hoping, I should be getting the pictures any time now. I'm checking my emails like cray-cray!

My amazing bridesmaid Wendy did my makeup before the shoot. If she wasn't so goshdarn smart and amazing at her day job, I would advise her to quit and become a makeup artist. She works wonders

5 points for wearing a seatbelt in her parking lot! :) holla!

I just loved my eyes, I wish I had her amazing talent. I'm crossing my fingers about my pictures, we really got along great with the photographer and she made me feel so at ease. We took a couple with Bailey, but after his first shoot he escaped his collar and went running down the railroad tracks towards a busy street.  Poor Jason had to sprint after him. Luckily, Bailey was sidetracked by the smell of food from a wedding right behind us and slowed down quite a bit.

We were all anxious to get home after a long day

Love them!

Hope ya'll have a fabulous week :)

Is it okay?: Wedding Edition

I have a ton of wedding related questions.  A TON! People are beginning to think I'm cray-cray and I'm being driven to drink wine every night. (okay, that last part is a lie-I do that regardless).

I make quick decisions because I loathe the decision making process. If i have an inkling that something will work, I decide yes and then figure out the details later. It's a tactic I've been using for 26 years, it's works! Well- worked. In all honesty, it doesn't work so much in Wedding Planning. I feel anxiety when I think about decisions I've made. I'm constantly doubting myself and I don't really have the typical wedding support system to turn to. I'm thinking of doing a wedding related post on Fridays, to ease the millions of thoughts running through my little ol' head.  My wedding is only 38 Friday posts away! haha

So, today I'm asking:
Is it okay to request a certain style from a photographer?

My engagement pictures are next Sunday and I'm starting to second guess my photographer choice. Don't be so surprised! I love the lady, we have great chemistry. She's been the photographer in few of my friends weddings, I've seen her work!  It is definitely Traditional. Which I like! I'm going for the whole "rustic" feel, so I want my pictures to be timeless.  Until one of my lovely bridesmaids sent me an engagement shoot of one of her sorority sisters and I'm in love-e-e-e-e with the style of it. Love as in, I cannot stop thinking about it!

I can't pinpoint what it is, but I think it's the way she uses the natural light. Or, maybe it's the fact that the bride to be is stunningly beautiful!

I guess my questions is:  is it okay to send these to her and say that this is the style I'm completely obsessed with? Or, should I just trust her creative style and just stop being a bridezilla?

What do you ladies think?

Tail Wagging Tuesday

I linked up with the sweet Cmae for this Tail Wagging Tuesday. I honestly, love my little puggle Bailey so much. He's 5 years old now, but he's still my little puppy.

Bailey has quite the personality, or so I like to think. He's very loyal, lovable, demanding and always always hungry. As soon as I walk in the door, I have to feed him. Otherwise, he picks up his bowl and brings it to you.

If you still don't seem to get the hint, he'll take it to the floor and start tapping it. All while barking.
DE-MAN-DING, I tell ya!

He's also pretty demanding about getting pets. If stop for a second and he still wants scratches, he will paw you.

That's him begging Jason for some more. It's too precious!

But, I chalk all of this attitude to how much I've spoiled him. Can you blame me though?

Love that lil' face!!

Rain rain go away!

I live in the "Sunshine State" but, unfortunately this weekend was anything but. It literally rained all freakin' weekend. When my original plans of working at the restaurant got rained out, we resorted to Plan B: Football, Beers and Friends. :)

Jason and I met up with a bunch of our friends at a Sports Bar and watched the Gators get their asses handed to them lose. It was a sad sight, but to be honest- I was having way more fun gossiping with the girls. It really was an ideal day. After the bar, we decided to continue the fun back at our casa.

He was soaked from the rainstorm :)

Some pretty cute ladies!

We played flip cup for literally hours, until we realize that we have outgrown our college selves.  And, by 10pm everyone had left and gone to home.

Happy Monday ladies, I can't wait to power through this week!

Does everyone go through this?

I'm having a hard time finding not only time, but interesting stuff to blog about. I don't want to just pull random topics out of the air to blog about, but I'm not sure why I can't even blog about daily events. Let's just put it this way... I suck at documenting my good (and bad) times.

Here's to not giving up!

Last weekend, I went to a Dog Blog conference in Hotlanta. While working over the weekend is honestly nevvvver fun, this wasn't too bad. I was able to play with cute pups like this fella

I was able to bring my fur-baby a lot of treats, so all-in-all everyone was happy :)

Jason and I just booked our engagement session-and I'm already having anxiety. I do not like to be in front of the camera, and usually hate every picture taken of me. But, I've got a lot of ideas flowing and will be cutting out pretty much all junk food. I'll be hitting the mall this weekend to find cute dresses for the pictures. A couple outfits for Jason too.
