Part two of Birthday Celebrations

Jason turned 28 last week, and I wanted to make this one super special. Complete with a cheesy "Happy Birthday to my Husband" card.

I posted about his big Celebration already, but on his actual birthday I wanted to have a fun-filled day with just the two of us.

I attempted to make Funfetti pancakes, they looked beautiful in the pinterest Picture.
Don't worry, I was successfully able to make pancakes and eggs. We didn't starve.

After breakfast, we headed out to Gatorland. Which is just a fun local attraction near Orlando. It was pretty chilly, but surprisingly a lot of the gators were out and about.

We ran home to change and opened presents,

When we were flying back from our honeymoon, we had a layover in Miami. There was a Shula's restaurant in the airport and Jason mentioned that he always wanted to try it. Imagine my surprise when I heard a Radio commercial for one just 20 minutes from our house. I booked the reservations a few months ago and kept it a secret. He was stoked when we pulled up.

On the reservation, I mentioned it was his birthday. The had a birthday card, signed by the whole staff for him.

It was a fantastic day. Cheers to many more!

Birthday in the House

It's my favorite person's day of birth.
Our first one as husband and wife.

I've planned a few things these past few days to make him feel extra special. Saturday we had his family birthday dinner, I was able to persuade one of my friends to come over while we were at dinner and decorate our house before we hit the town.
Sidenote: Surprising someone when you live together is hard. Really hard.

The house was decorated in his favorite colors (Orange and blue) and we had our pregame drinks in the form of a cake.
Our family picture:

and then we went downtown to Jason's favorite country bar. It was a great time, minus the fact that this bar apparently didn't have a working AC. Let me just tell you, that is not okay in Florida. ever.

Today is his actual birthday, so I've planned a day full of surprises. I woke him up to funfetti pancakes (which we're horrible, by the way) and bacon. We're getting ready to head out to Gatorland and then have dinner planned tonight.

Happy Birthday, to my lifelong best friend. You are my heart and soul, and I hope you feel extra special today.

Who am I?

Help!
I've been having an identity crisis lately.
Usually my nights are like:
That's me in a nutshell
Usually.

This was agenda last night:

Say whaat???

I'm playing in my first fantasy team at work. If you can't beat em, join em...right? Last night, my kicker played and scored me some points. I don't know if 6 is good or bad. So I'm going with good!
Also, his last name is Bailey.
And now you know why I picked him!

After getting my mainly on, with Football and Beer. I woke up this morning to a call from my friend, Steph. Her tire blew out on the way to work...
So I met her up to help her change it.
Which is a joke. I didn't do anything but stare at her. Homegirl can actually change a tire. Color me impressed!

I guess I did do something.
Snapping pictures and instagramming helps right?

Back to being girly tonight. Where I shall hang curtains and drink wine. Oh, yes this will be perf.

Friday Favorites

We made it to another Friday
And next Friday will be the last work day before a 3-day weekend
Hallelujah!
My weekend is full of nothingness, and I'm not hating it one bit. Hopefully we can get a lot done this weekend. And by "done", I obviously mean a lot of rest.
I need some rest. So, here's to you Friday. Thanks for joining the party
I'm changing it up a bit and linking up with Miss Bargain Blonde, herself for a little Friday Favorites

My favorites are pretty random, like myself. So in no particular order..

Obviously I've been overloading my blog about Chambray shirts. What can I say, when I obsess over an item...I really obsess. #sorryimnotsorry. Last night I finally found one.
You guys, I'm in love with it. Also, you should note how hard and uncomfortable it is to take a mirror picture. I'm obviously wearing it today, with some white shorts. Ohhh, Happy Day!

My Wedding makeup artist suggested this for me. To help me clear up my dry, patchy (gross) skin. It works WONDERS Ladies. I'm usually the last one on the train, (i.e. Ol' Chambray Train) so I'm sure you've already heard about this years ago. But It's a lifechanger and it's one of my favorite parts about the day

All of you need to go check out Whitney, she is the sweetest (and wittiest) girl in the whole wide world. We share a love of Wine, HoneyBooBoo, Home Cities, Tailgating, and Spice Girls - If that's not a match made in heaven, I don't know what is. She did the most amazing Eye Shadow Tutorial the other day, and I can't wait to try it out over the weekend.
Moral of the story, She rocks and you should go see why...NOW!

Speaking of Spice Girls. I've been listening to them straight for the last two days. And I've been loving it. 'nuff said.

I'm really a lover of all Reality Shows. But something about Jersey Shows makes me so content. I'm loving the drama on this season's RHONJ. I rewatched the the whole "phone call" incident several times. It's not all drama either, Richie, Joe Gorga, and the Manzo boys always have me cracking up. Please don't ever go away

Gotta give my hunny a little shout-out. Bless his heart, he has class every single day this semester. Which I know is hard on him. Can't wait for this whole school thing to be done and over with. This is my last weekend with him before Football, and then I loose him till February.. we're definitely going to take advantage of our peace and quiet time this weekend.

Rich in our own way

Last night while Jason was having the TIME of his life watching Wrestling (ugh).
I was catching up on all things Instagram.
It's addicting, you know. Who's wearing what? Who's eating what? Who's loungin' by the pool? You know the drill.

It makes me wish I had everything.
Besides all the adorable bracelets, necklaces and outfits, I've been obsessing over Erin Condren Planners and those gorgeous Speedy Bags.

To.Die.For.

As I'm in this little Material World. Wanting and Lusting after every single thing I see, knowing pretty darn well that right now isn't the time to shell out $50 for a planner. Or, even $30 for an adorable dress that will be great for work, girls' night and tailgating - You Name It. It's just not justifiable right now.

Jason looks over and asks what I'm doing. My response is that I'm just sitting here wishing we were rich.

And, then...

said the most amazing thing.

"We are Rich"

Rich in Love.
Rich in Family & Friends
and, Rich in Puggle kisses.

That we are. We are very lucky to be Rich with Love, Family/Friends and Puggle Kisses

(disclaimer: neither one of those cute puggles are Bailey)

It's time for me to start counting my blessing, and stop wishing for things I don't have. Thank you Hubs, for making me realize just how lucky I truly am. Youz a Genius, boo.

Sixty

In sixty days, I'll be walking down the aisle to see this handsome man and my absolute best friend, mysupport system, my heart, and (lately) my therapist.

I just love him so much. We've been together for just about 4 years, but before that we were high school friends (way back then). There are many things he does that puts a smile on my face, but here are some that are captured on film....

The fact that he's not too manly to drink out a pink flamingo.

Or where my purse when I don't want to. That sucker gets HEAVAY

And, if you didn't already know this....He's quite the singer

and an amazing dancer

......and cheerleader

HOW he does that, I have nooooooo clue!

Anyways,
I'm so excited that we're nearing the end of "Wedding Planning". I'm just ready to enjoy the time that we have together and stop stressing about this wedding. An amazing friend told me a quote today, and I'm vowing to live by it from this day forward - it isn't her exact words, but it's pretty close.

So.... here's to a stress-free 60 days.  Yup, I'll definitely be cheers-ing to that later tonight with my nightly chard.

Wine, Relaxation and a lil' Country

Wine and Relaxation prettttty much sums up my lovely Weekend. After two weekends of acting like we were 21 year olds - Jason and I decided to take this weekend off. We pinky promised ourselves when we were hungover last Sunday to not go out this weekend. It worked :)

On Friday, we had dinner and a few beer-ritas at one of our Favorite Spots, Ruby Tuesdays. I know it sounds cheesy, but their Salad Bar is amazing! For that, we love it! Orlando is pretty much 80% chain restaurants, but this particular restaurant is one that we still really enjoy.

After a few of these bad boys - we decided to rush across town to catch a movie.

Our movie plans quickly foiled because of these few things:
1. Stopped at a Gas Station to pick up wine for the movie (They didn't sell wine- WHHHHATTT)
2. Begged Jason to stop at another gas station and assured him that they would definitely have wine (They didn't - how is that possible??)
3. Got to the movie, 5 minutes late, only to find out the movie we wanted to see was sold out! :(

We felt defeated and decided to go home.

Saturday we woke up, and decided it was time for a little spring cleaning. This included bug bombing our house to fight the little critters that like to come in from rainy, muggy, and HOT Florida Summer. We grabbed Bailey and brought him to my mom's house. Headed to breakfast, went to see 21 Jumpstreet, and hit up HobLob for some Wedding Crafts.

This is for our Card Box,  I just need a few Paper Mache boxes to be able to make a custom one. We were lucky enough to get caught in a rainstorn just as we were leaving HobLob. It didn't seem to rain on Bailey's parade....

Our Sunday was also nothing special, just a little family time and nice dinner at Outback. We finished off our weekend with the ACMs - did you get a chance to watch them?

First of all, Carrie Underwood is FLAWLESS. I was so glad that she opened the show. Just take a look at her

I'm so happy that Blake and Miranda won quite a bit of awards this show, they deserve it. And, how about Blake announcing her performance "Miranda Lambert Shelton" it just melted my heart. LOVE them.

and, HOW cool is Steve Martin..

My Dad has played the Banjo in a Bluegrass band ever since I was in Middle School. We had a few Earl Scruggs posters around our house, so the mini-tribute they gave him and this performance was really special to me. While I never particularly "liked" my Dad, I've always had a deep appreciation of Bluegrass music. It's something that always reminds me of my blissful childhood.

What did y'all think of the ACM's?
That's pretty much it for my Weekend! I'm ready for this upcoming 3-day Weekend

Another year older

Yesterday was my birthday and I was beyond spoiled by my friends, family and Jason. I couldn't be more thankful for the people I share my life with, they are amazing. The best part? Is that the celebrating hasn't ended... In true "me" fashion, I still have a birthday PARTAY planned for Saturday night at a Country Bar. It's the one time of the year I can drag our friends out to my kind of place. You're welcome, guys!

Originally Jason had a Basketball game scheduled for Thursday night, so he planned for us to go to dinner on Wednesday. Of course, just like during our engagement, I had to be a brat and ruin the original plans. He had planned all week to take me to this Steakhouse, and I gripped about it because I wanted to go somewhere more romantic and Steakhouse's are HIS thing (feel free to call me a bitch)

I came home from work to find this on my Kitchen Table

Now these are some of my favorite things in the world. For starters, WINE! Flowers, Chocolate covered Strawberries AND a Red Velvet Cupcake! So sweet.  In the bag, was this beautiful watch

in LOVE.

Jason and I then got ready and headed to dinner. He drove to the steakhouse and as we waiting at the light in front of it, I said something that looking back I REALLLY regret

"So, on you're birthday can I take you to a place that I want to go?"

His response:
"Sure, Like where babe? Luma"

He then drove past the Steakhouse and headed to Park Avenue where Luma is located. I felt so bad! I wish I could now say, We ate at Luma and it was amazing.

I can't.

Luma is completely beautiful inside. But as soon as we sat down and read the menu, I realized that I'm not this fancy. I'm not this kind of girl. I didn't know anything on the menu. And, I'm way to picky of an eater to be able to just pick at $30 Chicken entree with things that I can't even sound out.

I wanted to be at the Steakhouse, and I made a big deal about it. I'm an Idiot! Jason just laughed it off, and we grabbed a glass of wine at Luma. Then we walked down the avenue to another restaurant, 310, and had a delicious meal. Followed by Chocolate covered Oreos and Cake Pops from my favorite chocolate shop.

It was delicious!

And, boy does he love me. Bless his heart.

The next morning I came to work, Chickfila in hand, to a festive birthday desk decorated by the sweet Stephanie!

Complete with a little birthday Crown, how cute!

For lunch my wonderful coworkers took me to a bar by our office that serves pretty much the best meal ever.

This plate of goodness is call the Big Kids Meal.  It's a Jumbo hotdog, chicken tender, Mac and Cheese, Fries and a Jello shot! And, let me telll you - It was ahhhh-mazing!

I ended my night with my family. This is probably one of the best birthdays I've had, I really felt so loved every minute of these past few days!

We're heading out to the fair tonight, hope y'all have a great weekend.

L-O-V-E

I awoke this morning, in a daze mind you, thinking it was pouring outside. I immediately thought how this would be horrible weather for our Picnic tonight. I forced my self out of bed and heading straight to my bathroom to start getting ready for work!

I finished getting with my lil' old beauty routine, and headed to my closet to find something Valentine-y to wear! I realized that Jason and Bailey weren't in the room, and I smelt BACON! It wasn't raining at all, just the sound of sizzling bacon! and, for the record - I love that sound.

Jason had gotten up early to make me breakfast before work. He made my favorite - Over easy eggs, bacon, sausage and one slice of wheat toast! He also had roses, a card, and champagne (for later) on the table

I'm so lucky to have him!

Happy Valentine's day!
