A semi- Halloween weekend

This weekend was such a fun-filled couple of days. I think I say this every Monday, but someone should really make weekends 3 days! I'd vote for ya! After work on Friday, I headed out for a mini-guilt-ridden shopping trip. I knew I should of gone shopping, but did so anyways. And, I immediately regretting doing so. It was too too bad - just two tops, one jean jacket and one pretty little clearance dress! Here's the old navy finds:

I've been loving several Pinterest pins involving both of these items, so I'm super happy to find them! Later that night I went to see Wanda Sykes with lil' miss yoga pants, Whitney! While the show might not of been all we hoped for, we made up for it with an amazing dance party.

Obviously Saturday we watched the dreadful Gator game. I'm quite honestly impressed that Jason was able to compose himself enough to enjoy the concert! Although either of us go get our heads on straight before the show. I left my phone at home, and he left his wallet. Peas in a Pod, I tell ya! Right before le concert. I didn't dress up in costume this year, so I just called my outfit "cowgirl"

(oh, that's that cute little clearance dress!) Jason's awesome friend went to our house, picked up our lost articles, and drove downtown just to drop them off to us. We were able to go out and enjoy the craziness of Downtown and Thanks to him, I was able to capture my favorite costume of the year.

Duck Dynasty. Hollllla. Sunday is our favorite day, we take this whole "day of rest" verrrrry seriously! There were multiple naps taken, delicious food eaten, and a little bit of Halloween movie watching.

and...then came Monday. boo.

Last week I came across these two little beauties, Steph and Katie, new link up idea, and I fell.in.love! Do you know how many pins I've pinned on Pinterest? (say that three times fast) 1,131 And, how many of those have I done? generously speaking, 10 TEN This linkup (I hoped) would be my little kick in the bootay.

....except this week I was bogged down with crafting my work halloween costume. Which, btw, I can't find on pinterest anywhere. shucks! so, instead of crafting this week, I'll be eating.  and that sounds like a fair trade-off to me! I pinned this Pot Roast a few weeks ago

All Hallow's past!

Oh, Halloween. How I love and loathe you all at the same time. Costume picking is hard, yo! And for some reason, I haven't been able to been my two dream costumes these last two years!
Which by the way are these:

Swoon. Unfortunately last year I was an old fart, and couldn't do anyyything for Halloween. This year? I'll be at the Zac Brown Band concert for the big celebration on Saturday. Which is a.okay. with me! I'm just chalking up my attire to being a "cowgirl" on Halloween.
I'm just a teeny bit upset with myself for not even decorating my house this year. I definitely need to make up for that with my Thanksgiving decor. Speaking of that, is it too early to decorate for Thanksgiving now? no? good!
I'm not going entirely halloween-less. I do have a little somethin' somethin' up my sleeve for work. While y'all wait on the edge of your seats to find out what that costume is, I'll leave you with a few halloween costumes from the past!

Good (somewhat) Morning!  Even though it's closer to the afternoon... I'm still sipping on my coffee, so let's just name this morning!   Any once else excited for the Weekend? I feel like I live for these precious two days. Dear Fall Decorations, I own a lot of you. You're in our Shed, but for some reason I just don't feel like walking out there, locating the Orange box and finding all of you! It's almost too late to decorate for Halloween - I'll just put this off until Thanksgiving decorations. Don't hate me! Dear Pinterest, ever since upgrading from an iPhone 3 to an iPhone 5 I've had a whole new appreciation for you! I can really tell that we're going to have a lifelong friendship, especially if you keep sending these my way

Who doesn't want a Basket full of Wine?

Hi loves! As I mention yesterday, my good friend's bridal shower was last weekend. For bridal showers,  I usually try to do a more "girly" gift. I like to incorporate something that is still on the Bride's registry, while adding a leeetle bit of fun to it! A few months ago on Pinterest, I came across a Pin for a Wine Memories box and loved it! I mean, who doesn't like wine! When thinking of a unique gift for Steph, I suddenly remember that Pin and thought it would be perfect for her! I searched around the interwebs to find the original post about the wine basket. After a few hours of creating my own labels and not loving them - I found the orignal blog source, and saw that she had a PDF with the labels. #score
Here is what you'll need:

I picked my wine based on labels and/or names!
Wedding Night: I wanted a really classy bottle and label.
First Fight: "Bitch" wine was appropriate, luckily she took the joke well
First Anniversary: Cupcake RedVelvet wine fit the bill
First Baby: I only had one choice of Cider, oh well!

I ran to HobLob and got a wicker basket, two ribbons spools (I chose champagne and leopard), brown filler paper and cellophane wrap to tie it all together. Printed out the labels, tagged the bottles and added her registry gift (Houdini Wine opener). Bing, Bang, Boom

An All-girl Weekend

This past weekend was so special because I was able to get in a lot of girl-time.  And girl time is really good for the soul. Friday night was 2-4-1's Stephanie's and Chardonnays and then followed up with a bit Karaoke-watching

We went home a smidge before 2am early, to prepare for a day of tailgating on Saturday.

Oh, hiiii Whitney and Stephanie. Tailgating was a blast. As I'm sure you can see by all of the beverages above. We had so much fun step dancing, flipping cups, playing celebrity name games! Right after the tailgate, I saw that one of my best girls just got engaged. We headed up to the closest bar for celebratory drinks with the happy couple.

On Sunday, I had my other friends Bridal Shower. It was at a gorgeous Restaurant and it was beautiful in everyway. That MOH from the Bachelorette Party nailed it again!  I can't wait for her wedding!

She's going to be one gorgeous bride! Needless to say I'm exhausted even after a 12 hour sleep last night. But my heart is full of so much love and happiness for my friends. It's so nice to be able to celebrate them. Stephanie loved (atleast I hope so) her gift. I'm going to post about it tomorrow for you gals! Hope you had a great weekend.

Your undying love for the Gators comes before your love for day-drinking. I really don't understand, but then again you probably don't understand my undying love for RHONJ.
