It's almost the Weeekendddd.

Well, helllllller.
Happy Friday, ya'll!
I'm really looking forward to this weekend. The only thing we have planned (so far) is to Tailgate tomorrow morning. And, by morning I mean 8am - the things I do for a good day drink.
Have no worries, I'll probably be passed out by 2pm.
Dear Blood Mary, I'm counting on you to replace my coffee tomorrow. Please, oh please, don't let me down.
Dear most adorable Cowboy boots ever, Would you be so kind to put my monogram on ya (kMa) and head on over to my closet? I'm a size 7 1/2 just in case, but you already knew that!
and bring your monogrammed friend in gold, please

Dear two-nights ago me, I'm really regretting you following 12 random "monogram" boards. Our wallet will be empty sooner than you know it.
Damn.
Dear Fall TV, thanks for coming back to my weeknights. We've missed you! Although I'm still slightly sadden over last night's Greys!
Dear iPhone 5, see you soon bugaboo!
Dear Pinterest recipes, Man you rocked our socks this week! Here's what went down, ladies! These were soooooo good!
Pot roast // Crockpot Lemon Chicken // Parmesan Asparagus // Garlic Lime Pork
Dear Jason, You are amazing my dear! You took care of soo much for me this week - and still studied your booty off! Can't wait to relax with you this weekend and be stressfreeee. Love you, Husband <3

My drugstore brands Beauty Bag!

We are so close to the weekend, I can almost taste it. And, by "it" I mean the bloody marys that I will be massively consuming tailgating at 8am.
Can't.wait.

Now, I'm the first one to admit that I am by all means not a beauty expert, fashion blogger, or even a person you should remotely ask about makeup.
Hell, I just learned how to apply top liner 2 years ago.
I honestly don't know how I went 25 years without it. The shame of it all! Well.. what I do know is that I think I've finally found a good set of staples in my little monogrammed makeup bag.
Why the heck wouldn't I share?

I like to think that I'm an equal opportunist makeup gal. I have a few mac products, a few one Chanel product, and a few left over clinique products from middle school that are still hanging around the ol' makeup draw. At the end of the day, I'm a cheap-o and I love having Target as my one-stop shop.
Here's whats in my bag:
It took me a few years to find my 'favorite' products, but thanks to Whitney's recommendation on Eyeliner it's fin.al.ly complete! The products I use are:

You know who's beauty bag is pretty awesome?

(Day) Dream Believer

I'd like to thank you all for giving me all your thoughts on the closet doors yesterday. The french doors were by far my favorite, just needed a little help convincing Jason. You guys sealed the deal for me!
Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU.

***
I'm not necessarily well versed in astrology. But I do that because I'm a March baby (holla!), that my sun sign is a Pisces. I also know that Pisces are, by nature, dreamers. Dream lovers if you will, Mariah.
As a Pisces, I tend to envision my life in the future. In almost every detail. At least that is what I'm chalking up my crazy imagination too.
Whoa, that almost got deep there for a second.

After a brief twitter conversation last night, I started thinking about my dream job. If I could get paid for anything in the world, what would it be?

My top two picks were, of course, Reality TV expert and Professional Pinner. I mean those would seriously be dream jobs. While we talking about those... Does anyone want to create those positions for me? I'd love you for.eve.r.

In terms of actual jobs, here are my top three "wish I could be you" jobs.

The one that started this whole thing:
Morning Talk Show Host
and not just any talk show host. I'd like to be the ones who drink on air.
i.e. Kathy Lee

I mean...just look at the things we have in common
The ladies wake up, get their hair and makeup done for them. Put on clothes that someone else has picked out, and then head out on stage. Where they proceed to talk about gossip, trends and of course drink some booze.
SIGN.ME.UP.

If for some stupid reason that doesn't happen for me, I'd also consider being a
Personal Shopper

Preferably for someone like Kim K. (pre-Kanye style) who doesn't wear things more than once.
Um, helllllo - I'd go shopping for all the things they love (and that I was secretly obsessed with). Once they were photographed in those clothes, I would simply "take them off their hands". They don't need those clothes taking up priceless room in their closet.

Once I started getting on this topic of helping the very fortunate, I thought about my love for dogs. Which is the main reason I think I would be a fantastic
Professional Dog Walker

ehhh. no
Not like that at all
I'm thinking this picture of CoCo is more my speed

I'll be a professional bulldog walker, with a 4 dog maximum.
Basically I might actually be horrible at this job.  But who doesn't love to get 'out of the office' every once and a while. And bullies are my favorite lazy dogs, so we'd make a perfect companion.

So, yup. This is where all of my brain cells went last night. Of course, after I lost half of them watching Real Housewives of New Jersey. Which I can sum up for you in three words:
Bishes be cray

Oh, hello there!

It's been a long time, ladies. Work was cray cray last week. I couldn't even pry my eyes away from Spreadsheets for a minute to read blogs.
But, I'm back. HOLLLLA
(me obviously silently screaming holla at work)
I met up with Whitney (not once, but twice) last week. We met for wine on Wednesday and then decided that our Boy's love for the Gators would lead to a great time on Saturday. and, it did!
There were several hashtags through around, beer chuggin' for Honey boo boo, and most of all a Gator win.
#Lovethesetwo
You really need to follow her and her twitter
She's incredibly boring and so freaking serious.
I kid, I kid.
She's amazing, and you'll LUHHHH her. Promise!
I party rocked way too much last week...which led to a hibernation-like nap that lasted throughout the night. I woke up at 8ish, and was back asleep at 10:45. Clearly a rockstar.
Sunday we made a quick trip to Lowes in hopes of updating our horrendous Closet doors in our bedroom. Right now we have sliding doors that fall off the track every single morning. Now we're in a debate to we switch to french doors or bifold doors.
Tell me what you think!
And, that's my weekend update for you! Exciting, right?

Insta-Jealous

So you all know by now that I live in Florida...
right?

Okay, good.

Well I woke up this morning, starting my lil' morning routine and put on my tank top and flip flops for work as per usual. There is no fashion in my game. I'll admit that. This week is spirit week at work, so I added my half attempt at geek day (which is hard to do, btw) - my glasses with ducttape.
Steph is a cute little geek, isn't she.

Anyways... Came to work, and checked instagram only to be flooded with tons of OOTD pictures filled to the brim with adorable boots, leggings, scarfs, SWEA.TERS. Sweaters...already? All that is stuff that I very well can't wear for another 2 months.

Jealously came over me, and I wanted to go home and change immediately into fall appropriate attire. Knowing that was just a idea asking for heat stroke, I decided to make my dream fall outfit on polyvore.
If you build it they will come, right?

Bienvenido a Miami

I'm surprisingly alive after this weekend's shenanigans.
It was a close one though.
All of us girls arrived in Miami around 5pm. Our room took for-eve-r to get situated, thanks to the less than competent staff at the hotel. It did however come with 2 bottles of champagne....addressed to a MR. Serafin and his bachelor party.
Whateves...the Champs tasted great!
After several cocktails, a few tears and of course some lovable talk started flowing. Then it was time to turn up the music, and start getting ready for Dinner. We headed off to a Tapas place, in which no one could read the menu. So we ordered 4 pitchers of Sangria, and sparingly ordered food that we could somewhat translate.
After dinner we headed over to the Delano, pool side bar..... For $17 cocktails.
Luckily, the MOH has tons of game. She met up with these boys that had a Table at some club. You probably know by now, that I'm not much of a club person. When in Rome (Miami).... We all stuck by the buddy rule, no girl was allowed to be left alone. So we followed the boys from the safety of a cab, and headed to Bamboo.
In which this kid proceeded to pay $1,000 for us all to get in and then for 2 bottles of grey goose for us.  Yea, I was a little shell shocked for the first few minutes.
All of us girls in Veep.

And our one shot of Our beautiful bride, Steph, in her Bridal attire. She kept taking it off when we weren't looking.
Needless to say that Saturday started off a little rough, but nothing a few Poolside Bloody Marys couldn't cure. We hung out by the pool for a few hours, only until we were informed of a Rooftop Pool Party at our hotel. #score
We ran into a bachelor party, that again the MOH was able to work her magic and they were letting us hang in their cabana all day long. We partied like we were 21 until about 5 ish, and then headed in to shower for our dinner rez at 8.
Oh, where was I?
The 2pm Patron shots caught up to me...and I went comatose after my shower. I awoke to the ladies walking back in the room at 10:45 from dinner (with Leftover mac and cheese for moi, God love them)
Sunday was spent with a little ride to the Versace house, Swinging by Dash, and a BBQ lunch at Austens - before we hit the road to Orlando.
and that was our weekend in a nutshell. It was so much fun, and I cannot wait for the rest of her wedding festivities!!!
And that's my weekend update - make sure to link up with us!

Oh, Dear!

I'm sitting here waiting for my girlfriends to come pick me up, and drive my spoiled butt to South Beach. Happy Friday, indeed!
This is going to be a quick one!
Dear this weekend, please OH please be kind to me. I know I'll be pouring booze into my mouth by the gallons, but hangovers are my worst enemy. Be done with em!...and Ms. Stephanie, I hope you have the most amazing Bachelorette Party. Love you dearly.
Dear Nikki, Your team is going down this weekend, girlfrannnnd. Go Gators
Dear Iphone 5, Oh, haiiii new best friend. Can't wait to be able to do something other than text.  It's been a long time coming! Are Monogrammed LifeProof cases available, yet?
Dear Facebook, I extremely dislike uploading pictures to you. That is the number 2 reason why I didn't want to upload all of our wedding pictures. Obviously, the number 1 reason being that I was a taddddd lazy.
and one last one to my boo...

Dear Jason, PLEASE don't end up in the hospital this weekend. Love you!

and that's all for now. Have a great Weekend, ladies!

Reflection

Today is always a day that makes you stop and thank God for everything in your life. Sometimes we tend to get so wrapped up in life, that we tend to forget to take a look around and appreciate everything and everyone in my life. Life is too short. September 11 was a tragic day, one that none of us will ever forgot.

Today I'm taking time to reflect and be thankful for the things in my life

My Big Italian family. Our family is ever-growing and always there for a good laugh.  We have good, bad and sometimes downright evil going on at any moment. But at the end of the day we're family, and we all stick together. To quote Mrs. Manzo "We're as Thick as Thieves"
(I can't help but laugh that Jason is about 5 inches taller than everyone)

These true friendships. I really thank God for these girls today! I am spoiled rotten having them as best friends. Each and every one of these girls have a piece of my heart.

The life I'm building with Jason. I'm so thankful for all of it. Our little family, our house, our health and our love. Sure some days are rougher than most. (i.e. I hate bills) but Jason makes those days a whole lot better. These two boys, and yes I consider Bailey a human, make everyday brighter for me. I couldn't possibly be more thankful for them.

Of course, Today started off rough. I was running 20 minutes late, I bitched today that Bailey wouldn't stop barking, and that Jason ate the hot pocket that I realllly wanted to have for lunch. But at the end of the day, I'm really blessed to have this life.

Eleven years ago, America was forever changed. May God bless those that lost their lives on that awful day, the families who lost love ones and the heros that fought for our country.

A little bit of everything Weekend

It's Monday. Booo. Which is exactly what I didn't want to think about when my alarm went off this Morning. Thankfully this is a 4 day week for me.
Weekends are the best, aren't they? You can play catch-up, You can drink all.day.long, you can be a complete lazy bum. The possibilites are endless, and there is no judgement! This past weekend, Jason and I did a little bit of everything.
Friday night was an embarrassment. We went to an open house party for our friend's shop. It was the honestly the dirtiest party I've ever been too. I'm really not a snob, I promise. But put it this way, the thought of playing beer pong, and sharing cups with this demographic was something I was not about to do. We minded our business, mingled with our friends that also came out to support, and then headed home after a few hours. No pictures were taken!
ha.
Saturday was awesome! Jason woke me up with ChikFila minis, and we did a little bit of housework and hung our new blackout curtains. Taking that chore off the list!  Then we got appropriately dressed and headed to cheer on our team(s).
Cheering on the Alma Mater!
and then the Gators, ofcoursee
We found this bar that serves fah-ree Hotdogs, Hamburgers and Boiled Peanuts during the games. And,  the best part? You can bring your fur-babies. Needless to say, you can find me there the rest of football season. Drinking my Bud Light Tall Boy.
And.. Sunday. It was spent hanging a new ceiling fan. (in love with it) and just relaxing, maxing and acting all cool. Oh, and learning a lot about Fantasy Football. GAG! I couldn't force myself to stay awake for the Real Housewives, so you bet that's gonna be on the agenda for my night!

In other news.... Today is a day worth celebrating, it's our 72-day wedding anniversary. We've officially passed these two:
(and, yes... I had a calendar reminder for that)

Hope you're weekend was lovely!
