(Day) Dream Believer

I'd like to thank you all for giving me all your thoughts on the closet doors yesterday. The french doors were by far my favorite, just needed a little help convincing Jason. You guys sealed the deal for me!
Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU.

***
I'm not necessarily well versed in astrology. But I do that because I'm a March baby (holla!), that my sun sign is a Pisces. I also know that Pisces are, by nature, dreamers. Dream lovers if you will, Mariah.
As a Pisces, I tend to envision my life in the future. In almost every detail. At least that is what I'm chalking up my crazy imagination too.
Whoa, that almost got deep there for a second.

After a brief twitter conversation last night, I started thinking about my dream job. If I could get paid for anything in the world, what would it be?

My top two picks were, of course, Reality TV expert and Professional Pinner. I mean those would seriously be dream jobs. While we talking about those... Does anyone want to create those positions for me? I'd love you for.eve.r.

In terms of actual jobs, here are my top three "wish I could be you" jobs.

The one that started this whole thing:
Morning Talk Show Host
and not just any talk show host. I'd like to be the ones who drink on air.
i.e. Kathy Lee

I mean...just look at the things we have in common
The ladies wake up, get their hair and makeup done for them. Put on clothes that someone else has picked out, and then head out on stage. Where they proceed to talk about gossip, trends and of course drink some booze.
SIGN.ME.UP.

If for some stupid reason that doesn't happen for me, I'd also consider being a
Personal Shopper

Preferably for someone like Kim K. (pre-Kanye style) who doesn't wear things more than once.
Um, helllllo - I'd go shopping for all the things they love (and that I was secretly obsessed with). Once they were photographed in those clothes, I would simply "take them off their hands". They don't need those clothes taking up priceless room in their closet.

Once I started getting on this topic of helping the very fortunate, I thought about my love for dogs. Which is the main reason I think I would be a fantastic
Professional Dog Walker

ehhh. no
Not like that at all
I'm thinking this picture of CoCo is more my speed

I'll be a professional bulldog walker, with a 4 dog maximum.
Basically I might actually be horrible at this job.  But who doesn't love to get 'out of the office' every once and a while. And bullies are my favorite lazy dogs, so we'd make a perfect companion.

So, yup. This is where all of my brain cells went last night. Of course, after I lost half of them watching Real Housewives of New Jersey. Which I can sum up for you in three words:
Bishes be cray

How I Make that Money Honey!

The Fabulous Bargain Blonde is doing a link up that I just had to participate in. Today we're talking jobs.  I've posted about my workplace several times, but I don't know that I really went into what I do here. You know, besides drink.
I work for a New Age/Startup Marketing Company, in which we solely focus on Social Media. Our thang is Sponsored content for Blogs, Twitter, and now Photos/Video. Basically we're a company that helps people earn money off things they are already doing.
I've transitioned quite a bit in the year that I've been here - I started in our Marketing Department, and then a few months later transferred to our Blog Relations Department. Which is actually the reason I started Blogging. I would work with Bloggers all day, every day to help them with their offers, and fill the campaigns we were running.
After a few months of Blog Lovin', I accepted a different position as Celebrity Relations. Which started out with me heading to the Oscars Gifting Suites to network. Amazing experience!
On a day to day basis, In a nutshell I'm usually:
Brainstorming fun/interactive ways for Celebs to Participate for our Sales Team
Contacting Celebrities to Participate in Campaigns
Reaching out to agencies
Our office is anything but Corporate America. Our main headquarters is Purple, Blue and Green, and home to about 50 people. We usually have dogs roaming around. We celebrate every single thing, usually with booze. There is a kegerator in our office kitchen, and a free vending machine right outside the kitchen. I worked with some of the most amazingly creative people that inspire me everyday. While we have a lot of fun, we also work hard to play hard.
What I love MOST about my Job - is our casual office. There isn't a dress code. Because of the Florida Heat, I'm usually in:
...With a snuggie at my desk, just incase chugging my ice coffee made me cold.
That's about it! Can't wait to read all the posts!

Cupcake Wars - I need your help!

We do a lot for charity organizations around the workplace. This weekend we have a work-team walking in Relay for Life to support the American Cancer Society. While I won't be able to join them this weekend (got this leetle thing called a Bachelorette Partay), I will be participating in one of the fundraisers for our team. This is our 3 fundraising event for our team, first was the 80's happy hour (1/2 of the proceeds from the bar went to our team), and then the following day we had a hangover breakfast where we donated money to eat a delicious breakfast at work

Tomorrow we have Cupcake Wars. Basically you sign up to make cupcakes and then employees pay for tickets to place on their favorite cupcakes. I was SO into the whole "picking out my favorite cupcake part"...until my boss told me that she signed me up and picked my cupcake.

"Dis Be Dat Choklat" is the name she picked which means I clearly need a Chocolate cupcake that stands up to that name. I'm not sure if I mentioned, but I work with some amazingly creative people. Here are all the cupcakes in the contest:

As you can see, I need some AMAZING Chocolate Cupcakes. I've searched Pinterest and narrowed it down to these three. Please please please help me pick!

Which Choklat cupcake do you think will help me beat out my competition???

First Blog Award & Weekend Recap

Hi y'all, sorry I've been behind on the Weekend Recap. I'm still somewhat recuperating (from just friday -it was a wild one.)

Friday day, we had our LOCO at work. Which is basically when our whole company goes out and does something fun. We headed out to Wekiva Springs for a beautiful day on the water, some intense volleyball, lots of drinks and one SERIOUS rainstorm party killer.

At these locos, we celebrate employee's anniversaries with custom hats. They made me an adorable bridal veil - that later was a causality in the horrible rain storm.

Other than that my weekend was pretty uneventful, I did become a godmommy to a beautiful baby girl

Last night, I received a sweet sweet email from Stephanie, who blogs at Quails' Quirks (check her out). She gave me the Liebster Award, and I'm so happy to say that it's my first award! Woop Woop

Fun, right?

Each Nominee Should:
1. Choose five up and coming blogs to give the Liebster award to. Blogs must have less than 200 followers.

2. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
3. Post the award on your blog.

4. List the bloggers you gave the award to with links to their sites. Leave a comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award.

5. Share five random facts about yourself!

My five blogs are:
1. My Girl, Steph @ Living with Intention
2. Sweet Sweet Laurie @ The Rookie Wife
3. My Wedding go-to, Shannon @ Page Twenty-Two  (she's over 200, but she's awesome - check her out)
4.  The Beautiful Brittney @ Diary of a Southern Brunette
5. Fellow Puggle lover, Katie @ Miss Dixie

and, here are the five facts I betcha didn't know about moi:
1. I. have. a. sweet. tooth - Like, am in dire need of chocolate everyday
2. I get insanely pissed when I see hashtags on facebook. #thesearefortwitter #ortheoccasionalblogpost
3. I collect koozies from every event. We have a collection of over 100 at home. Which is why they are  our favors for our wedding!
4. I have a (somewhat) irrational fear that my future child will kill me in the future. I wish I was joking, but those stories scare me.
5.  I'm not as picky as some people I know (ahem, Steph) but I HATE green vegetables, or eating foods that I can't pronounce

And, there you have it! I can't WAIT until tomorrow - my new (and OH, so improved) blog is ready! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek

My experience of Oscars Weekend

This weekend was AH-MAZING. We flew to LA on Thursday morning and headed straight to the W hotel. This Hotel pretty much sums up Hollywood - it's classic, swanky, and modern all in one!

This is the outside of the hotel!

Here's our Booth - Don't I look thrilled after traveling and setting it up! um, ew! We ended up moving that awful purple light because it was not at all flattering.

On Thursday night, we had a mixer and was able to meet the other vendors. After we met with them, we wandered down Hollywood Blvd and walked the "Walk of Fame"

We came across one of my favorites, so of course I had to snap a picture

Other things that happened in LA:

Other things that there aren't photographic evidence of (not yet, anyways). Having Cloris Leachman curse at me, being near an LA shooting, asked if we were hookers working on the street, getting lost a BAZILLION times, and looking like a zombie after my red eye flight. All in All it was a FANTASTIC trip. I'm so happy with my new position!

From the Oscars ------> To my Bridal Shower

I can't even express my excitement for this week/weekend! It feels like a surreal opportunity and I'm so excited to share the moments with y'all!

I'm heading to Los Angeles on Thursday to represent my company in a Celebrity gifting suite for the Oscars.

To back track a bit, 2 weeks ago I was given a promotion to Celebrity Relations. It's been a pretty busy jump in tasks, but extremely interesting. I really, reallly, REALLY love my new position, and the fact the my team is so awesome! Well Last week, our CEO sprung the Oscars on us and we obviously weren't going to say no!  By looking at the guest list from last year's gifting suite, I'm pretty sure (and extremely nervous) that we are going to have the opportunity to talk to Celebrities about our product! I can't wait! I'l be sure to update you on the happenings! I'm going to study everything I need to say, because this girl WILL get starstruck.

Our Event gets over Saturday at 7pm, and I begged requested to take the Red-eye home to make it in time for my Bridal Shower. My Flight lands at 7:10am, and my Bridal shower begins at 11:00am. Here's to no flight delays!

Spppeaking of my Bridal Showers. Take a peek at my invitation, my dear friend Wendy is hosting it for me and she had these this too-cute-for-words invites made!

I ran out on lunch today to pick up my dress. I've been wanting a Lilly Pulitzer dress for years now and never had to courage to spend the money for one. Jason picked up a giftcard for me for my christmas gift! Which leads to today being the first day I've owned a Lilly Dress. I couldn't be more happy!

Oh boy, I need to rush home to pack! Any one have clothing tips for me to bring to LA? I could sure use them!

I'm baaack

Well, I'm back from sailing the high seas! I had a blast with my co-workers. We worked, drank, sang karaoke  drank, started a Soul train dance line, ate A LOT, drank, and had a scavenger hunt. It was a great team-bonding experience. I just wish I would of been able to have cell phone service to call Jason while I was away. Having virtually no contact for 5 days was rough! It made me miss him, like whoa.

My CEO made an awesome video of all of our cameras. you can see it here:

I needed a few days to get back into the swing of things, but now I'm all caught up on laundry, cleaning and have groceries! Just in time for the weekend :)
