It's a sip of wine, It's summertime

There are sooo many things that make me happy about summer. I love sunday-fundays, pool parties,  beach trips, 4th of July, BBQs and even sometimes the stormy weather/hurricane days. Which sounds weird, I know.

This summer will be a tad different.
Cause, we're gettttttttttting marrrried.
and, going to Jamaica (which hopefully won't be those stormy weather/hurricane days)

In Jamaica, I'll obviously be parking my butt at the swim-up bar. Is there any other place?

For the rest of summer - Oh, you'll be able to find me here:

Or on this thing floating in the lake

Cause that's my style.
laaaid back
(with my mind on my money, and my money on my mind)

I might also do a little sun-bathing with these fellas

all with a cocktail in tow.

What are your plans for summer?

Friday Letters

Happy Friday and Happy Holiday weekend, ladies!
I'm excited for some sun, skinny girl margs, and an extra day off work.
I'm linking up for my first Friday Letters with Ashley

Dear Wedding, slow your roll. You are coming at me like a speeding train and I'm not really ready for you, yet! I've got a LOT of things that need to happen in these next 35 days. If you could just "pump the brakes" a bit I'd love you forever.

Dear Summer, I love love love your beautiful weather. However, I have a bone to pick with you - I'm not sure if you're aware or not but your days are supposed to be longer. Thus giving me more time in the evenings to get shiz done. That's not happening and I'm chalking it up to you.

Dear Laundry, do yourself and stop nagging me, please. It's getting a tad annoying. Weren't we supposed to have everything automated by now ;)

Dear Friends, you ladies are the bees knees. I know I've been outpouring my love for you lately, but by golly you deserve it. This past weekend, you showered me with your love and I'm forever grateful for you.

Dear OPI Gelish, dang...you are awesome! You've lasted 8 days so far, and for a nail biter that's pretty amazing. Kudos to you!

Dear Bailey, your face is adorable...It makes my heart sing! I love you so much. I've often though about cloning you like those people on TLC. There's just one itty bitty thing stopping me...how much you bark. How does one fat little dog bark SO much? and so LOUD?

Dear Jason, I love you endlessly. I'm so excited for our future. When you asked my cousins a million questions about their kids last night, you melted my heart. You're my rock, my best friend and my soulmate. Can't wait to go back to the place we go engaged this weekend & celebrate our love.

That's all for now, have a great weekend. Don't forget to link up with me!!

It's just one of them days

Ah, who remembers that song? Here's a refresher:

sing it girl.

Seriously though, today is not one of the "best" days. I just feel alone, upset, hurt, left-out about nothing in particular...but a lot of things at the same time. It's probably the hardest feeling to convey to someone. I know it's probably just my sensitivity, and I can hear Jason telling me that I'm too emotional. But I just need some cheering up. Ya know?

Today would be a great day to talk to someone who won't say "You're Crazy" as guys tend to do.

Instead of writing a blog about how down I am (who really wants to read that) - I need to take a deep breath and:

Or perhaps....

Okay, for the positive side in me...I'm looking forward to a few things

Tomorrow is my first dress fitting and I can't tell you how much this excites me! I can wait to put on my dress again.
Tomorrow is also friday.. 'nuff said
That pretty much everyone has received our invitations. I received a bunch of sweet texts from girls that told me how much they loved it. Made my heart sing.
That May is so close away. I love Cinco De Mayo, I'll love my bachelorette party and I'll love saying that I'm getting married "next month"
and, that I'm just a few hours away from going home and cuddling with this little one

Yup, all better now...

Wine, Relaxation and a lil' Country

Wine and Relaxation prettttty much sums up my lovely Weekend. After two weekends of acting like we were 21 year olds - Jason and I decided to take this weekend off. We pinky promised ourselves when we were hungover last Sunday to not go out this weekend. It worked :)

On Friday, we had dinner and a few beer-ritas at one of our Favorite Spots, Ruby Tuesdays. I know it sounds cheesy, but their Salad Bar is amazing! For that, we love it! Orlando is pretty much 80% chain restaurants, but this particular restaurant is one that we still really enjoy.

After a few of these bad boys - we decided to rush across town to catch a movie.

Our movie plans quickly foiled because of these few things:
1. Stopped at a Gas Station to pick up wine for the movie (They didn't sell wine- WHHHHATTT)
2. Begged Jason to stop at another gas station and assured him that they would definitely have wine (They didn't - how is that possible??)
3. Got to the movie, 5 minutes late, only to find out the movie we wanted to see was sold out! :(

We felt defeated and decided to go home.

Saturday we woke up, and decided it was time for a little spring cleaning. This included bug bombing our house to fight the little critters that like to come in from rainy, muggy, and HOT Florida Summer. We grabbed Bailey and brought him to my mom's house. Headed to breakfast, went to see 21 Jumpstreet, and hit up HobLob for some Wedding Crafts.

This is for our Card Box,  I just need a few Paper Mache boxes to be able to make a custom one. We were lucky enough to get caught in a rainstorn just as we were leaving HobLob. It didn't seem to rain on Bailey's parade....

Our Sunday was also nothing special, just a little family time and nice dinner at Outback. We finished off our weekend with the ACMs - did you get a chance to watch them?

First of all, Carrie Underwood is FLAWLESS. I was so glad that she opened the show. Just take a look at her

I'm so happy that Blake and Miranda won quite a bit of awards this show, they deserve it. And, how about Blake announcing her performance "Miranda Lambert Shelton" it just melted my heart. LOVE them.

and, HOW cool is Steve Martin..

My Dad has played the Banjo in a Bluegrass band ever since I was in Middle School. We had a few Earl Scruggs posters around our house, so the mini-tribute they gave him and this performance was really special to me. While I never particularly "liked" my Dad, I've always had a deep appreciation of Bluegrass music. It's something that always reminds me of my blissful childhood.

What did y'all think of the ACM's?
That's pretty much it for my Weekend! I'm ready for this upcoming 3-day Weekend

Fun-Filled Weekend!

Hey Ladies! It's another Monday. Am I the only one who thought this weekend flew by? At least this week will be a busy one - It's my birthday week.

Woo.

Back to this past weekend, It was a great one. Except for the fact that Jason injured himself at his basketball game on Thursday and was a gimp this whole weekend. He torn his left calf muscle, which from what I researched is a pain in the arse. Poor Guy. He has the worst luck with leg injuries.
He fought through the pain and we had such an enjoyable weekend

1. On Friday, we had a wine and cheese party at work. It was a going away/birthday celebration and it was FUN. This is one of the thousands of reasons why I love my workplace.

2. Friday Evening, Jason and I headed up to a local Irish bar. One of our friend's dad is in a Southern Rock/Oldies band that plays up their quite frequently. Since Jason was down for the count, I was dancing up a storm with the "boys". He was doing a little chair dancing too. We had a BLAST.

3. We drove by my mom's neighborhood and realized they were having their annual Chili Cookoff. I never remember about it until the last minute. I begged Jason to forget our errands and eat some chili. It work! There were around 100 tents set up with chili, beer (and wine) and live music. It was also a mini-high school reunion for us.

4. This was my favorite chili - it was fried chili with a sour cream drizzle. Dear Jesus! If the line wasn't so long (see pic. 3) and their tent wasn't an FSU tent then I would of gone for seconds (and thirds).

5.  After the Chili Cookoff we ran home to shower and get ready for his mom's birthday dinner at Cheesecake Factory. This is my yummy Sangria!

6. Jason and I are creature of Habits. We ordered the same appetizer, the same entrees, and same desserts as the last time we went. If it ain't broke,..! This is him with his favorite cheesecake, Banana Cream. I stuck with my old faithful, Red Velvet Cheesecake!

7. Just a picture of us at Dinner...HEYYY!

8. All of the weekend's festivities wore us out, and Bailey was more than happy with snuggling up on Sunday and having a Lazy Day. We didn't want to disappoint him, so we did just that!

Well, It's almost 5 o'clock and I'm ready to go home to spend countless hours on Pinterest and Etsy perusing for wedding stuff!

Bailey: The guard Puggle

This is my little baby, Bailey! Isn't he precious? Bailey earns his keep around the house by doing 3 important jobs.

1. "Mopping" the floors - he makes sure to get every last crumb.
2. Cockroach K.I. LLER - Jason and I both screech at the sight of them, but we live in Florida and unfortunately those dang Palmetto bugs are common. Bailey comes to the rescue by crushing them with this back!
3. Guard Dog - he's on a 24 hour surveillance of his home.

Last night, around 1am, we were all sound asleep. Bailey was in his usual spots, under my covers and cuddle up to my legs. Everything was peaceful, until...

dun, dun, dunnnn

Bailey heard rustling in our backyard, which is currently covered in leaves. He jumped out of bed and started howling, there's that beagle side in him. This went on for what felt like forever. We finally were able to calm him down, and got him back on the bed. But, instead of of going back to his sleeping cave (under my covers, cuddled by my legs). He slept on Jason's bed, facing the back window and continued to growl (softly) at the window all night! Almost to let whatever it was outside, that he was letting his parents sleep, but was ready to start a war whenever they were!

Or, at least that what I think....

Thanks for watching over us while we sleep Bails!

Howdy Pawtner

There's a new Sheriff in town.. ya heard?

Isn't he cute?!? Yesterday's post inspired me to get him a costume, so I made a quick run to Target to pick him up that little diddy. He hates it. I love it. That's really all that matters.

Tonight will involve Wine (lots of it) + Pumpkin Carving. Yesss!

Tail Wagging Tuesday

I linked up with the sweet Cmae for this Tail Wagging Tuesday. I honestly, love my little puggle Bailey so much. He's 5 years old now, but he's still my little puppy.

Bailey has quite the personality, or so I like to think. He's very loyal, lovable, demanding and always always hungry. As soon as I walk in the door, I have to feed him. Otherwise, he picks up his bowl and brings it to you.

If you still don't seem to get the hint, he'll take it to the floor and start tapping it. All while barking.
DE-MAN-DING, I tell ya!

He's also pretty demanding about getting pets. If stop for a second and he still wants scratches, he will paw you.

That's him begging Jason for some more. It's too precious!

But, I chalk all of this attitude to how much I've spoiled him. Can you blame me though?

Love that lil' face!!

What I'm Loving Wednesdays

I'm loving that this is my very first linkup, on my very first blog-maybe I'll even get my very first follower :)

I'm loving that my Red Bull is single-handly keeping me awake. I was dreading waking up today. Hooray for Humpday!

I'm loving that tonight I will be having dinner with my mam. It will be fun to just sit and talk about all of the exciting things happening in the next few weeks. She's buying a beach house, so we get to talk about decorating!

I'm loving that my dog has gotten used to my morning routine. Probably better than I have. He used to sleep through me leaving, just sticking his head out of the covers when I closed the door. Now, he realizes he gets to eat if he gets up with me. So, as soon as I come out of the bathroom after doing my makeup and hair. He leaps off the bed and goes to the door. He knows it's his time to go outside and say "Hi" to the neighborhood. Once I'm dressed, he happily comes inside and is ready to EAT (his favorite part). Then he runs back in the bedroom, jumps on the bed and goes back to sleep. He is a smart pup!
Isn't he the CUTEST?

I'm loving that this Saturday I will be surrounded by friends and family. Celebrating our engagement, having a good time and drinking lots of this:
