10 Day Challenge: Day 6 & 7

It's Wednesday! Woohoo. Almost to the weekend. I've decided to combine Day 6 and 7 because I missed posting yesterday. Things have been crazy at work that when I get home I just want to crash. Thank the lord for this upcoming weekend and my new buddy:

I found this little gem at Target when I was picking up some last minute groceries for dinner on Monday. I bought some oranges and strawberries to cut up and stir in with it. It was SO delicious. Bethenny Frankel, you my dear are a genius.

On to the Challenge...

Day 6:  Five Foods

1. Sweets. Preferably Red Velvet Cupcakes, Cheesecake
or some kind of overly Chocolate cake.

2. Fried Food - I'm from the south.

3. Pasta. I can eat it every day, it is sad.

4. BBQ. This is almost by default. I can live on those top three foods alone,
however Jason prefers to eat BBQ every night.

5. Eggs Over Easy. They just make my breakfast

Day 7: four books

1.  Marley & Me. I'm a sucker for Dogs.

2. Something Borrowed

3. The Help

4. Lauren Conrad: LA Candy.

Truth be told - I've only read Marley & Me. The others are on my 'to read' list. I intend to try and find time to start reading but I just never have enough hours in the day. I watched Something Borrowed on demand on Sunday. It was SO cute and now I want to read the book. Hmm, maybe I'll pick it up on the way to the beach this weekend.

10 Day Challenge: Day 5

Happy Monday!! I had such a great weekend, and now I'm looking forward to this week's 3-day weekend even more. I'm so excited for some fun in the sun.

Back on track to my 10 day challenge, Today is 6 Places that I want to visit.

1. Bora, Bora. I would love for our honeymoon to be here.
2. St. Maarten.
3. Australia
4. Hawaii
5. Europe. I've been to Italy and Ireland. But, my dream is to go to Europe for 3 months and just do as I please.
6. Turks and Caicos.

Clearly, there is a theme with my vacation to-do list. I love tropical, beachy locals. I was meant to live as a beachbum.

10 Day Challenge: Day 4

My 7 wants:

1. I want peace for my Mom, she's been going through a lot lately and I'd like to see her back to where she used to be.

2. I want to be stress-free about money.

3. I want to trade in my Scion for a Jeep Compass or Cherokee. My Scion has the worst blind spots, which makes my horrible driving even worse.

4. I want it be the weekend already! :)

5. I want my nephews to grow up to be well-rounded men some day!

6. A cleaning lady would be amazing, I definitely want that

7. I want to live a long happy life with Jason.

That's was fun! I'm so ready for the weekend, I can barely concentrate today. I wish I had exciting plans to chat about. We'll be going to a local Country bar on Saturday, Church on Sunday and that's about all we have planned for this weekend. Isn't too shabby

10 Day Challenge: Day 3

Today's 10 day challenge is about fears. Well I just happened to be one of those people that fears everything. Seriously, everything. I can't even watch the news, I think every story is about to happen to me.

Without further adu...My 8 delusional fears

1. Bugs, Snakes, Spiders.... pretty much any animal that isn't a dog. I fear it.
Fun Fact: I was coming home from work one night, getting ready to park in my driveway. My foot is on the brake, getting ready to put the car in park. I look down for a split second and happen to see a beetle on my leg. ew! I flick it off my leg all while shaking my leg vigorously to get this nasty creature off me. Welp, my foot falls smack down on my accelerator. and....I drove INTO the garage door.

I fear/dislike bugs a lot!

2. Swimming in oceans and lakes. If those darn Sharks/Alligators/Amebas weren't there I would be all for it.

This "hometown" beach- New Smyrna Beach, FL.

I go there all.the.time. But, I haven't gone in the Ocean (past my ankles) since 2004. Want to know why?

Those are SHARKS! This is an aeriel view of NSB, which is now the shark bite capital of the world.

3. Rollercoasters. They scare me.

4.  I fear never living up to my dreams. I have a picture in my head of how my life is supposed to play out. I just hope that one day I will be able to fulfill all of those goals.

5. I fear I'll be left alone one day. It's been a fear of mine since I was in 10th grade. I thought my mom wouldn't come home, or would leave me places. I'm not too sure where this came from (although, I have an idea) But, I'm just scared that one day I'll be abandoned by everyone.

6. Elevators. I always think that they are just going to stop and I'll be trapped in it for hours. Ever see the movie Devil?

7. Feeling Stupid. I fear sometimes answering questions or participating in discussions at work (sometimes with friends) because I always think that what I have to say only makes sense to me.

8. I have an irrational fear that my future kids will try and kill me. It's almost a joke to my friends, but these stories stare the crap out of me

Okay, now that you've seen my neurotic side. I'm interested to see what your fears are...

What I'm Loving Wednesdays!

I'm linking up with Jamie again, for a little loving on Wednesdays...

I'm loving that someone brought brownies to work today. It is currently sitting right in front of me as I wait patiently for lunch to chow down.

I'm loving that my wedding dress has already come in. One of my amazing friends/bridesmaid, Steph, came with me to try it on one last time. She brought cranberry mimosas to celebrate in the parking lot of good Ol' David's Bridal.  One of the many reasons why I love her.

disclaimer: Don't judge- I look horrible. Up to late the night before, had to wake up early for a Pop Warner football game. Only had time for a quick shower and ponytail. yuck.

I'm loving this idea I saw on Pinterest from this blog

It's a basket containing labeled folders for monthly pre-planned (sometimes pre-paid) dates. I just love this idea! Jason and I sometimes find ourselves in a rut of what to do. We usually just spend our date nights at a movie and nice dinner. Which is definitely fine every now and then. But, sometimes I want to do something out of the ordinary. This is a great idea to ensure that we never get bored of date nights!

I'm loving that Jason has finally gotten the hang of laundry. After ruining about 6 of my shirts, he's finally gotten into the habit of hanging up "anything worn on the upper half" Hooray!!!

I'm loving these beautiful dresses from Forever:

How cute is this for Gator season??

love the one shoulder.

Lastly, I'm loving my amazing fiancey who is giving up his free time for wedding planning. And, my precious pup who face just melts my heart. Love them to pieces

Have a great Wednesday ya'll

10 Day Challenge: Day 2

1. I LOVE the amazing people in my life that keep me sane; Jason, my momma, the girls and Bailey. They certainly have a tough job!

2. I love decorating my house for the holidays. I still have my fourth of July wreath up. But, it can transfer over to Memorial Day and Labor day... right? I'm going to swing by JoAnn's and Marshalls to pick up fall decorations.

3. I love my job. Honestly, it's amazing.

4. I just adore the whole wedding planning process. It may just be my calling in life. I just love planning every little detail of this wedding. So much so, that I'm actually afraid of hiring a planner for the fact that I don't want them to mess it up. It's just so fun for me.

5. I love love love Weekends. I haven't really had Saturday and Sunday off... well ever.  Now, I look forward to these 2 days off, we get so much accomplished!  On that note, I love 3 day weekends (who doesn't). Hurry on up, Labor Day! I'm waiting

6. I love being alone in our house. Without a roommate. It's been amazing, it's so great to do laundry without someone jumping in to do a load. It's great to fall asleep and know that no one else will be coming home and making a whole bunch of noise. It's just fantastic. Jason and I have been so happy without our roommate!

7. I love that I swung by my mom's house last night and had a glass of wine with her. My sister and nephews moved in with her. I was excited to spend time with them too. Although, now that they are "older" and in elementary school, all they do is play on the computer. At least those little boogers still give me hugs (even if I force them too)

8.  I love Real Housewives of New Jersey. I just can't get enough. I watched it yesterday before coming into work. Yup, you guessed it,  I can't stay up late enough to watch it on Sunday nights--Grandma Status.  I love Caroline, she is just a great go-to person for advice. I just wish I could call her up. I adore Jacqueline too. Poor thing, she's going through a lot right now(eeer... back then)

9.  I love that I have been getting better at not spending money. I've been bringing lunch every day and not spending my lunch hours going shopping. I've realized that I would rather use that money towards a car, vacation or house decor than lunch and clothes. Although, I really wouldn't mind swinging by Marshalls and checking out their shoes. They honestly have the best shoes.

Well, that's it! Have a great Tuesday :)

10 day challenge: Day 1

I just came across this cute little challenge over at Natasha's adorable blog, check her out at Hello! Happiness. Her blog will make you want to move to Nashville, as if I needed any more reasons to love that place.  Let's give it a try, shall we?

1. I am a horrible listener. The majority of the time, I'm thinking about my next question, comment or story. I've been (honestly) trying to work on it. I just don't know how to stop my train of thought, long enough, to listen to someone else. How pathetic is that? ha.

2. I love nothing more than a day spent in bed, watching trash TV and getting nothing done. This time last year, I was lucky enough to have those glorious days once a week. All thanks to going to School and a waitress job. These days I can't even find time without a thing to do.

3. Football season is coming up, and I'm not excited. Don't get me wrong-I love going to football games, tailgating, dressing up, beer pong, and having fun. But, my hate for fantasy football and watching football all day on Saturday and Sunday outweighs my love. I basically lose Jason to football until the beginning of next year.  To bring in football season, I'm planning on making this pretttttty  ribbon wreath for my front door:

4. When were talking about food and  I say "I don't like it", there is a 90% chance I've just never had it before. Jason just recently figured this out, and now I'm having to try things all over the place. But, I am starting to like a bunch of foods that I never would imagine. I guess that's a plus

5. Last Saturday, we went to Jason's nephew's Pop Warner football game. He's 7 years old and it is so exciting to see him play. I teared up while they ran through the paper banner. Thank Goodness for Sunglasses.

6. I really want to move. Out of Florida. Things have been hectic around here lately, friends and family have been causing more drama than I'd like to have. I know the solution isn't just to pick up and move (especially since I own my house). But, I can't help but think easy-breezy it would be if we picked up and moved out of town.

7. Going back to that whole "I don't like it" food thing. I used to proclaim I didn't like Jimmy Johns, until I actually had it. Now, I'm obsessed with it. In a bad way. I think about it for lunch every day.

8. When my dog falls asleep, I sometimes pick him, put him in my arms and cuddle with him. He hates it, I love it.

9. When I make To-Do lists, there are usually 1 or 2 items that I've already technically done. As soon as I make the list, I cross off those items that are done. It's just fun to create a list and already have things to be proud of!

10. I have been struggling for these past few days about having something to blog about. I just don't find my life that interesting, but I know that I need a place to put my emotions into. I'm going through a lot right now, but I haven't quite felt comfortable putting myself out there yet.

Working for the Weekend

This weekend cannot possibly come quick enough. I'm beyond ready to for the pool day/margarita day. However, this rain EVERYDAY is literally putting a damper on my plans. Hopefully it stops raining by Saturday.

After getting burnt by the pool, I'll be going to a comedy show with these lovely ladies and their men:

So excited.

The local comedy club gave my company free tickets! Woo-hoo. This will be a fun triple date. I love nothing more than a fun night with good friends, especially if the main attraction is free!! I haven't been to a comedy show in years so it will be a change from the normal weekend routine.

So rain, please get your act together before the weekend. I have plans that call for beautiful weather. k? Thanks!

I may be late to the party...

I know this song has been out for a while, but over the weekend I've become obsessed with the song and the video

Now you can too...

Sing it girl.

This weekend wasn't much to write home about. We lounged around the house and put together the bed for our Guest room. It was just the kind of weekend that I needed it! This coming Saturday we plan to put our pool (and our blender) to good use. It's been calling my name for a few weeks now, I decided to dedicate a full day to it.

I'm hoping to find a good recipe for a  skinny version of a Strawberry Margarita. If you find any, send them my way :)

I'm baaack

Well, I'm back from sailing the high seas! I had a blast with my co-workers. We worked, drank, sang karaoke  drank, started a Soul train dance line, ate A LOT, drank, and had a scavenger hunt. It was a great team-bonding experience. I just wish I would of been able to have cell phone service to call Jason while I was away. Having virtually no contact for 5 days was rough! It made me miss him, like whoa.

My CEO made an awesome video of all of our cameras. you can see it here:

I needed a few days to get back into the swing of things, but now I'm all caught up on laundry, cleaning and have groceries! Just in time for the weekend :)

Making Plans (for a bathroom redo)

We haven't really done any updates since we moved into our house. Luckily for us, the previous owner owned a construction business. Our house was ready to move in, for the most part.

The only rooms in the house that are out of date are the bathrooms. We've made due this last year. There have been many things that I have put on a wishlist of what I would like to tackle. I am, by no means, am a DIY expert.  I think of these ideas, get inspiration on Pinterest and other blogs, but never follow through.

Well...thanks to Pinterest, I've got an itch to try an update to our Guest Bathroom. This one looks affordable and somewhat easy.

Here are my inspiration pictures:

This one is actually bead board wallpaper-so clever!

via

Currently, our bathroom is covered in navy and white tile. It's on the floors, walls and in the shower. And our Medicine Cabinet, it's straight out of the 70's. eeek. I'll snap a picture and update this post.

We plan on beadboardin' the tile on walls and painting above the bead board in a soft blue. That Medicine Cabinet is a goner too, we're looking into a white mirror to replace it!

I can't wait to get started.
