Reflection

Today is always a day that makes you stop and thank God for everything in your life. Sometimes we tend to get so wrapped up in life, that we tend to forget to take a look around and appreciate everything and everyone in my life. Life is too short. September 11 was a tragic day, one that none of us will ever forgot.

Today I'm taking time to reflect and be thankful for the things in my life

My Big Italian family. Our family is ever-growing and always there for a good laugh.  We have good, bad and sometimes downright evil going on at any moment. But at the end of the day we're family, and we all stick together. To quote Mrs. Manzo "We're as Thick as Thieves"
(I can't help but laugh that Jason is about 5 inches taller than everyone)

These true friendships. I really thank God for these girls today! I am spoiled rotten having them as best friends. Each and every one of these girls have a piece of my heart.

The life I'm building with Jason. I'm so thankful for all of it. Our little family, our house, our health and our love. Sure some days are rougher than most. (i.e. I hate bills) but Jason makes those days a whole lot better. These two boys, and yes I consider Bailey a human, make everyday brighter for me. I couldn't possibly be more thankful for them.

Of course, Today started off rough. I was running 20 minutes late, I bitched today that Bailey wouldn't stop barking, and that Jason ate the hot pocket that I realllly wanted to have for lunch. But at the end of the day, I'm really blessed to have this life.

Eleven years ago, America was forever changed. May God bless those that lost their lives on that awful day, the families who lost love ones and the heros that fought for our country.

A little bit of everything Weekend

It's Monday. Booo. Which is exactly what I didn't want to think about when my alarm went off this Morning. Thankfully this is a 4 day week for me.
Weekends are the best, aren't they? You can play catch-up, You can drink all.day.long, you can be a complete lazy bum. The possibilites are endless, and there is no judgement! This past weekend, Jason and I did a little bit of everything.
Friday night was an embarrassment. We went to an open house party for our friend's shop. It was the honestly the dirtiest party I've ever been too. I'm really not a snob, I promise. But put it this way, the thought of playing beer pong, and sharing cups with this demographic was something I was not about to do. We minded our business, mingled with our friends that also came out to support, and then headed home after a few hours. No pictures were taken!
ha.
Saturday was awesome! Jason woke me up with ChikFila minis, and we did a little bit of housework and hung our new blackout curtains. Taking that chore off the list!  Then we got appropriately dressed and headed to cheer on our team(s).
Cheering on the Alma Mater!
and then the Gators, ofcoursee
We found this bar that serves fah-ree Hotdogs, Hamburgers and Boiled Peanuts during the games. And,  the best part? You can bring your fur-babies. Needless to say, you can find me there the rest of football season. Drinking my Bud Light Tall Boy.
And.. Sunday. It was spent hanging a new ceiling fan. (in love with it) and just relaxing, maxing and acting all cool. Oh, and learning a lot about Fantasy Football. GAG! I couldn't force myself to stay awake for the Real Housewives, so you bet that's gonna be on the agenda for my night!

In other news.... Today is a day worth celebrating, it's our 72-day wedding anniversary. We've officially passed these two:
(and, yes... I had a calendar reminder for that)

Hope you're weekend was lovely!

Hair, Football and Pumpkin Spice

I'm loving this 4 day week!
and, I've got another one coming my way next week.
Dear Weekend, you made it. I'm so ready to enjoy every second of you. I have big plans that involve football, hanging a ceiling fan, and hanging some curtains. You know, grown up ish.
Dear Hair, I'm so over you. I can't even straighten you fully. And I've just been so lazy to even make a blonde appoint. I'm just calling my roots ombre now. I want to exchange you for this:
Dear Pumpkin Spice K-Cups,  welcome to my house, my friend. You'll be here for a while. I love that you make my mornings so enjoyable.
Dear UCF, You have your first game tomorrow against those pesky Ohio State guys. I'll be rooting you on, and then doing a quick outfit change to root for my Gators. #twoteamloving
Dear Fashionistas, Please help me! I'm going to South Beach for a Bachelorette party next week. I'll need to dress cute. Here's my two dress options, what do you think!
Dear person who set a 12:30pm call, Umm. That's during my lunch hour. It's friday, and that's just not cool. At all.
Dear Jason,  I love you for many reasons, but watching you be so strong for your friend yesterday was inspiring. I just love your big heart!
Happy Weekending! Don't forget to link up:

Who am I?

Help!
I've been having an identity crisis lately.
Usually my nights are like:
That's me in a nutshell
Usually.

This was agenda last night:

Say whaat???

I'm playing in my first fantasy team at work. If you can't beat em, join em...right? Last night, my kicker played and scored me some points. I don't know if 6 is good or bad. So I'm going with good!
Also, his last name is Bailey.
And now you know why I picked him!

After getting my mainly on, with Football and Beer. I woke up this morning to a call from my friend, Steph. Her tire blew out on the way to work...
So I met her up to help her change it.
Which is a joke. I didn't do anything but stare at her. Homegirl can actually change a tire. Color me impressed!

I guess I did do something.
Snapping pictures and instagramming helps right?

Back to being girly tonight. Where I shall hang curtains and drink wine. Oh, yes this will be perf.

Goin' to the Chapel - Let's Dance!

Anyone that knows Jason and I knows that We like to Party
We like, We like to Party
(name that tune...)
So we knew when planning our Reception, that we wanted to have fun. More importantly, we wanted to dance our little married hearts out.
Our Bridal Party all did a little dance with each other
During our introduction, Jason accidentally stepped on my bustle and it broke. Our coordinator was prepared to fix it but we had to do our first dance first.
Looking back I wish I could of said no to the person who suggested that I "just hold your train during your first dance"
We ate, We toasted, We cut cake...
and then came the dance partay

Weekend Escapades.

Back to Reality.
It's never fun after a 3 day weekend, but after laying low for a few days I can honestly say this is the first 3 day weekend where I felt rejuvenated!
Usually we spend our holiday weekends boozin' at the beach
This time we decided to stay and town and enjoy the slower side of life.

Here is a little photo dump of the weekend

As expected this weekend involved a lot of football, a little booze and a lot of friend time!

1. A new little outfit in none other than Orange and Blue
2. Bailey showing his love for the Gators. He was super self-conscious in the shirt
3. Gator platter. Neccesity for hosting a little football watching partay
4. There was a little bit of Karaoke practing involved on Friday night, after a few drinks of course.
5. Which led to a lazy Saturday morning for Bailey and I.
6. Ceiling Fans were bought
7. A beautiful bridal shower to honor the bride to be. Us three girls have known eachother for 20 years.
8. Wendy (host of the shower) gifted mini bottles of Verdi for the favors. Which happens to be my fave champs.
9. We finally caught a recently released movie. GO US! Hit & Run was so good. Love Kristen and Dax.

Hope y'all had a great 3-day weekend. Hurray for short weeks!
